Accessibility

Accessibility statement

Can My Dog Eat is committed to being usable by everyone, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology.

What we aim for

This site targets WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. Specifically we try to:

  • Use semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate properly
  • Maintain high colour contrast on text and interactive elements
  • Make all interactive elements keyboard-accessible
  • Provide clear focus indicators for keyboard users
  • Use plain language where possible
  • Ensure the site works without JavaScript enabled (the search function needs JS; everything else is static)
  • Use responsive layouts so content reflows on small screens and at high zoom levels

Known issues

No site is ever perfect. If you find something that doesn't work for you — a missing label, poor contrast, a keyboard trap — please get in touch and we'll fix it.

Alternative formats

All content on this site is text-first. If you need information in a specific format (large print, plain text, audio), let us know.

Emergencies

If you're trying to use this site in an emergency and can't access what you need, call the Animal PoisonLine on 01202 509000 — a 24/7 UK pet poison helpline staffed by veterinary toxicologists. Fees apply.
